We broke into small groups to find examples of the language tricks used by Shakespeare in act I
We took a quiz on act 1
I assigned the Hamlet projects- due march 1st.
We began Act II.
We looked at the line "I am sorry" Act II, sc 1 line 104. We talked about how it could be read differently.
HW: Any politician giving a speech has notes to assist them. Please write Claudius's notes for his speech in Act 1. These should be brief and written for Claudius. Please also write 5 points that were considered, but were never used. For these lines, please draw a line through each making it legible, but showing that it was not actually used. These can be funny. Funny is always good...
