Brit. Lit. + Comp. Lit II:
Today all of my classes did the same basic lesson plan:
Journal Prompt: Write a 25 line poem on the topic of Spring and the glorious 75 degree weather today.
We took notes on Poetry:
We defined the different forms of metrical feet
We defined meter
We defined foot
We looked at the def. for different metrical lines.
I introduced America's favorite poem project.
I showed you examples from last term and from the project.
I gave you the assignment sheet:
3-5 sent on why you picked the poem. If this is on your own, I need the video by
Thursday.
Video of you reading your poem. Please list the title and poet before
reading.
These are all worth 20 points each. The final assignment grade will be based on
all parts combined and counted as a paper grade. Effort is a major component of an assignment
such as this. Missing parts for Thursday
will result in a deduction of your grade for the assignment.
