Journal:  If you could go back in time and change one thing or event, what would you change?  What would the effects be from this change?       1 page

Magazine SONNET WORKSHEET

 The rules:

MUST cut out 35-30 words from a random magazine

MUST be 14 Lines.

MUST follow the end rhyme scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GG

MUST show some thought and effort.

-Your First Stanza should introduce the poem, explain a problem or situation, state what you’ll be talking about.

-Your Second and Third Stanza should INVESTIGATE the poem…  what are the feelings involved?  Exploring the story/conflict/situation introduced in the first stanza

-Your Rhyming Couplet at the end should resolve the poem, or provide a dramatic twist to the story.  The couplet is probably the most important two lines of the sonnet… so make them good!

For extra points

Write in Iambic Pentameter

(Five beats per line, words that go DaDum DaDum DaDum DaDum).

Journal Prompt:  Act IV always has a moment of final suspense before the BIG fall.  Please describe what you think that moment will be for Hamlet.  If you know how the play ends, make a different act IV end.

I passed back all of the assignments that you have completed so far.

Reminder:  It is your responsibility to make up missing work.  I am after school on both Monday and Thursday if you need to make anything up.

Storyboard That!  We went to storyboardthat.com and set up an account.  You summarized the play so far in 10-12 cartoon frames, explaining what final moment of suspense will happen in act IV.

We shared some of the best.
