Brit Lit:

Yesterday:

Journal Prompt:  Please tell me about your experience with poetry.  Do you write poems?  Have you ever connected with a poem?

We read the poems on pgs.  170-179  by Sir Thomas Wyatt, Sir Philip Sidney.

We took notes on sonnets

You each needed to write a 14 line sonnet based on what you are feeling today.

HW:  Find and bring in a poem that you emotionally connect to.

Today:
Journal Prompt:  Please write the poem that you selected in your journal and explain why you selected it.

I gave you a handout of poems used in the movie Dead Poet Society.

We watched the movie that made me want to be a teacher, Dead Poets Society.
